New Revolve project forums

Soulfang made the damn new forums and didn't post any news about them. I've created FAQ's in them for project KNT and Melty Blood. If your interested in Melty Blood in general, please feel free to post in the Melty Blood section of the forum, whether its replays or moves, or just general random stuff. I want to build a good unofficial support community for English speaking Melty Blood players!

Checkout the rest of the new forums. The Revolve part of the Emuxhaven is still open at the Emuxhaven forums link for anyone interested.

The Reaction was good

Thanks for all of the support on the menus (credits to be assigned rightfully later on the project page). If you have simply emailed me in general about translating, I will email you back very shortly. I'll be passing off the translated work to Daichi whenever I can contact him. If you are still interested in dialog translation, please email me! The secret project should be announced the day the menu patch for Melty Blood is released. More on how the patch will be released as the time goes nearer.

ReACT to this post.

Okay, nothing is getting done on Melty Blood. In order for me to make progress, this is what I require: I need the main menu translated, I need the options menu translated, I need the stage menu translated, and if anyone would like the ReACT demo in English, I need the names of the two stages in the game translated. So, if you want to see a released menu patch for Melty Blood, and a translated version of the ReACT demo, download this pack of files and translate them, simply put. I don't need them Photoshopped, as Daichi is already lined up to do that. Once I have a complete translation of all of these files, I can release a patch for Melty Blood, and an English ReACT demo (yeah, I you want it, you'll have to download the entire thing, because of the way its built, sorry :-/ ). So, if you are a skilled translator, please feel free to download these files and send me a translation, if you would like to translate the dialog, please feel free to email me.

As for the secret project, no, it is not the ReACT demo. Why is this project a secret? Because I enjoy watching everyone debate as to what it might be, and the font is being a real bastard to hack, although it is currently my top priority hacking wise.

Read on to hear some of my findings while looking at what's inside the ReACT demo.

Gavionne's motherboard has been fixed! Yay.

Oh boy, some interesting files inside ReACT. Although Type-Moon and French Bread did a pretty good job getting rid of unnecessary files, they left in some interesting things. This character select screen is the part I find the most fascinating:

Boring W3C fix

Boring W3C fix

Included is the original file, found in Melty Blood, and then the 2nd "add-on file", which includes Ren and Yumi, but also a 3ed fighter, that looks like Ciel. Now, why would Ciel be in the character selection screen twice? Is it possible that there is an unannounced fighter in ReACT? Or perhaps there is will be an evil version of Ciel, similar to how there is an evil version of Arc? Suppose only the final release will answer the question. It might just be used for testing.

Take a look at this other RAW file directly from pack03.p in Melty Blood ReACT:

Boring W3C fix

Is this alternate artwork for the character select screen? Who knows?
